Preparation:
1. Exfoliate thoroughly:
Remove dead skin, especially over rough patches (elbows, knees, ankles). This helps avoid uneven patches. Use a good body scrub.
2. Shave/ wax first:
If you're planning on hair removal, do it before the tan and give skin some time to recover. Fresh shaved or waxed skin that is clean and dry leads to smoother finish.
3. Moisturize dry areas lightly:
Apply a moisturizer or lotion to knees, elbows, ankles (areas that tend to absorb more product) to prevent them from becoming too dark.
4. Use a glove or applicator:
Bronze Angel comes with a Glove; use it to apply. This helps avoid staining your palms and ensures more even spread. 

Application:
1. Dry skin:
Make sure your skin is completely dry before you begin applying. Any moisture or lotion not properly absorbed can lead to streaks. 
2. Spray/ spread:
Spray the product gently onto the glove, then spread it evenly over the skin rather than spraying directly onto skin. This helps with control and even coverage.
3. Multiple coats if needed:
Depending on your natural skin tone and how dark you want to go, you may need 2‑6 coats. Allow each coat to dry fully before applying the next one.
4. Wait/ dry time:
Color shows instantly, but it will intensify over the next ~3 hours. Don’t rush to wash or sweat heavily right away. Let it fully dry.
5. Be mindful of hands & joints:
Either use the glove thoroughly, wash hands immediately after, or apply very lightly to hand & wrist areas to avoid too much buildup. For joints/rougher areas, use lighter application.

Timing:
1. When to apply:
For competitions, it’s often done several hours before going on stage, letting the color develop. Same idea for photos. Bronze Angel’s color develops more deeply over 3 hours after application.
2. Allowance before water/ sweating:
Avoid showering less than ~3 hours after applying. Keep skin dry. Tight clothing or heavy sweating might smudge the tan before it sets.

Aftercare & Maintenance:
1. Wear loose clothing initially:
Tight garments might rub off or pull the tan unevenly. Especially right after application, wear loose / dark clothing if possible.
2. Avoid sweating heavily or swimming too soon:
Moisture or friction can cause the color to fade unevenly.
3. Moisturize daily:
Hydrated skin keeps the color smoother and prolongs the look. Dry skin = faster fading or patchiness.
4. Touch‑ups:
If you want a deeper tone or noticeable color before a show or photo, add another coat, maybe the night before or morning of, giving enough drying time between coats. Bronze Angel allows that.
5. Removal:
After your event or when you want to start fresh: wash with soap & water; exfoliate gently. The product is made to fade naturally if properly maintained.
6. Test patch:
If first time using or you have sensitive skin, do a small patch test 24 hours beforehand to ensure there’s no adverse reaction.
